Work Week: 5 days (Monday to Friday), 40 hrs / week - Work Hours: 08:30 hrs - 17:15 hrs Working Relationships External: Relevant government departments, Corporate Partners, Private Sector, Civil Society Organizations, Research & Academic Institutions, Print & Electronic Media, Project Steering Committees (PSC), Project Oversight Committees (POCs) Internal: WWF-Pakistan, WWF Network, PMU, RP site/field offices, WWF Pakistan sister projects
Duties and Responsibilities · Ensure effective coordination between project management and field staff and concerned provincial departments for both forestry and climate-smart agriculture (CSA) initiatives. · Assist in donor outreach, proposal development, and coordination for forestry and CSA-related initiatives. · Conduct site selection, species selection for plantation, and ensure proper implementation of forestry and CSA interventions. · Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable agricultural practices and ecosystem-based forest management. · Facilitate development of training materials, brochures, documentaries, and animated videos on best practices in forestry and CSA. · Coordinate, prepare, and oversee the logistical planning of training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings. · Develop mechanisms to assess and enhance the economic, environmental, and social sustainability of the agriculture and forestry sectors. · Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant projects, public & private organizations, and stakeholders to support project objectives. · Facilitate technical training sessions for government and non-government stakeholders on forestry, climate-smart agriculture, and water conservation. · Ensure implementation of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) for field-level technical inputs and project activities. · Monitor project activities, ensuring budget adherence and timely financial reporting. · Ensure timely submission of technical progress reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual updates. · Support in the preparation of letters, research papers, reports, news articles, fact sheets, briefing notes, and other communication materials. · Develop and share appropriate communication content for donors, stakeholders, and WWF network to enhance project visibility. · Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and prepare end-of-assignment reports documenting key lessons and best practices. · Represent and promote the project at meetings, conferences, and public forums.
Selection Criteria Education, Experience & Working Knowledge · A Master’s degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university. · Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in sustainable agriculture, forestry, or nature conservation projects. · Experience working with diverse communities, government, civil society, and corporate sector. · Knowledge of GIS-based monitoring, field forest inventory, and ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) approaches. · Proven ability in project development, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. Skills & Abilities · Strong personnel management, problem-solving, and results-oriented approach. · Ability to travel extensively to field sites. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. · Strong analytical and report-writing skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. · Demonstrated ability to manage policy advocacy on sustainable resource management. · Sensitivity to gender and social inclusion in environmental projects. · Exceptional presentation skills. · Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of local languages is an advantage. · Ability to work under pressure and handle change effectively. · Identifies and aligns with WWF core values: Courage, Collaboration, Respect & Integrity. · Demonstrates WWF behaviors in the way of working: Strive for Impact, Listen Deeply, Collaborate Openly, Innovate Fearlessly. · Adheres to WWF’s brand characteristics: Knowledgeable, Optimistic, Determined, and Engaging.
