Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities • Work in close coordination with Internal Control Manager & project implementation team to carry out assignments in accordance with agreed-on procedures and standards of organic cotton project. • To supervise and regulate collection, compilation and tabulation of field data in the standard formats as advised/suggested by Food & Agriculture Programme management /donors. • Developing active liaison with other partner organizations /institutions/ departments. • Facilitate in development and dissemination of technical information materials (brochures, manuals, video film, documentary, and other communication activities and events. • Develop technical progress reports as per donors’ requirements. • Ensure the organic cotton seed multiplication in the field. • Connect farmers, middle men, ginners and supplier, and establish a business network regarding OC. • Develop appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize program farmers’ satisfaction • Plan & facilitate technical support system as per requirement of the project (Capacity Building Workshops, Seminars etc). • Undertake measures to ensure quality execution of project activities as per project LFA & work plan • Regulate credible supply chain data collection and its compilation as well as reporting as needed • Building up capacities of field staff and supply chain actors including program farmers to ensure standard produce and its timely uptake • Make available the records and information and present to the donors, auditors and partners in respect of the services performed by WWF-Pakistan. • Identify strengths and weaknesses in project activities and devise strategy/plan for improvement. • Ensure regular publication of articles and scientific papers in print media and in scientific journals. • Develop innovative ideas and assist respective reporting Internal Control Manager. • Facilitate in internal and external audit / inspection / quality assurance visits • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Selection Criteria Education, Experience & Working Knowledge ð An established personal commitment to the conservation of nature and ecological processes ð B Sc. or Master’s degree in Agriculture in any discipline ð At least one year relevant experience in a similar capacity.
