Muhammad Tahir moved to Islamabad in the year 1994 and started a business (Punjab Rice Store) in G9 Markaz Karachi Company. Through its consistent service and quality products, Punjab Rice Store earned the respect and confidence of customers very quickly. It emerged as a retail store having maximum sale in a single day at any retail outlet in Islamabad. This store’s success and changing modern dynamics ultimately paved the way for the introduction of Punjab cash and Carry in the later years. Over the years, under the leadership of its Chairman, Ch. Muhammad Tahir, Punjab Cash & Carry has been successful in attaining a respectable place in the field of retail. With his hard work, innovation, market sense and an aim to meet customers’ future requirements it has developed into a major market leader in this field. In all these years, Punjab Cash & Carry has expanded to 16 outlets with successful operations in the twin cities of Pakistan. It has a customer base of 0.8 Million served by 1000+ employees. Since its inception, never-ending hard work and resilience got it The Best Retailer Award 2019 which was recognized by Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister.
